When we talk of Ballroom & Latin Dancing this refers particularly to the standard ten dances:
Waltz, Quickstep, Foxtrot, Tango and Viennese Waltz in Ballroom;
Cha Cha Cha, Rumba, Samba, Paso Doble and Jive in Latin American.
These ten dances each have a standard international syllabus of figures so if you learn them you can dance with anyone in the world who also has learned them.
